Hahaha. I leave to sleep and come back to so many posts, my head is spinning. I LOVE IT.

Ohmageez, I'm really very excited for this start of term. \o/

First, following after Chris and everyone else re-backstorying, I am re-backstorying Lynn and Kristen. Lynn didn't lose too, too many friends, as she didn't have that many to start with, but as she has plans for joining the Order, I think some things might be changing. Kristen on the other hand, lost a large amount of friends (it killed me to delete half of her "bestest friends" list), so I'm hoping to re-backstory her as well.

I want this post to be a threading post though, so if everyone could head over to Kristen's new backstory post here, that would be great!

Occupation: Lynn is the owner of the best Quidditch shop in London, Quality Quidditch Supplies. She sells Quidditch supplies to costumers shopping along Diagon Alley. She does the bookkeeping, selling, advertising and everything else small business owners without many/any (depending on the time of the year) other workers do. The store was passed down to her from her father when he was killed.

Personal History: It was a simple love story between a girl and a boy. The two met at Hogwarts where they were Gryffindors. They were married a few years after they graduated. They had a child named Lynn. Unfortunately, Lynn’s mother died during childbirth, so Lynn was raised by her father. The two got along quite well. Her father taught her everything she needed to know about the wizarding world. He did not teach her to discriminate against muggles however, unlike many other pureblood families. She was taught to not care about blood.
Lynn received her invitation to Hogwarts at age 11, like every other student. On September 1st, she kissed her father goodbye and hopped onto the Hogwarts Express. She was sorted into Gryffindor for her courage and all of her other Gryffindor traits.

Lynn had a very Gryff-like personality. She was nice to everyone around her, talking to people she did and didn’t know, whether they were popular or not. She was well liked by the rest of the school, for the most part, for her friendliness and for being so outgoing. She was constantly in trouble with the teachers for talking during class, pranking people, starting rebellions against the professors, and just doing completely reckless and crazy things. She wasn’t Head Girl or Prefect, for they picked much more responsible people for that job, but she was Quidditch captain. Her father owned Quality Quidditch Supplies, the Quidditch supply shop on Diagon Alley, and had been Quidditch Captain back in his day too. He had taught Lynn everything he knew about Quidditch. In a word, Lynn was popular.

Nothing much changed after she graduated. She didn’t settle down much but luckily she got a job. Her father hired her, actually. She worked at his shop as a full-time worker. She had been working there during the summer for every year since she was old enough to say “Wanna broomstick?” so she already knew everything she needed to know to be a good worker. (All of those summers working there really helped when it came to the only class she excelled in at Hogwarts: Arithmancy.) She enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her father, and attracted many customers with her happy personality.

Everything changed on the fatal night of September 14th. Lynn had gone to a Quidditch game with her friends. Her father had agreed to let her go and had said that he would close the store that night by himself. That night, Death Eaters entered Diagon Alley, harassing, threatening, and killing people as they went. When Lynn returned home that night, her dad wasn’t home. She and her father lived a few hundred feet from the Leaky Cauldron so she entered Diagon Alley to make sure he wasn’t still at the store. She found Aurors everywhere, Ministry of Magic officials investigating the crimes and murders that had occurred earlier that night. She ran, sprinted, to her father’s shop and found him dead in the store, surrounded by men and women collecting evidence. Lynn was only 19 years old.

Personality: Before her father died, Lynn was a very different person. She was a stereotypical Gryffindor in that she was crazy, loud, and adventurous. She never stopped moving and people that knew her said that she was the perfect example of the phrase"Carpe Diem", or seize the day. She never stopped smiling, even in the worst of times and she always had a positive outlook on everything. She had friends in every year and house at Hogwarts for she was very friendly too. She was very passionate about the things she loved most, putting her heart and soul into Quidditch and her best classes. She was a person children and adults alike loved for her attitude...well, the adults who didn't have to deal with her constant adventures to forbidden places like the kitchens or the Forbidden Forest, that is.

Of course, she had her negative traits as well. She didn't take too many things seriously, her behavior was slightly reckless, and she certainly wasn't the best student but hey, who doesn't have flaws?

Her personality changed drastically the day her father was found dead. People she knew in Hogwarts or in the year she had worked for her father swear that she's a different person even though her looks haven't changed. The death of Lynn's father sent her into depression. Although she isn't currently as depressed as she was when she first heard the news, the effects are still quite clear.

Lynn is very emotionless now. She isn't the happy person everyone at Hogwarts loved. She still thinks about her father but whenever she does, she pushes the memories away. Lynn is very serious, always with the same expression on her face and this time it isn't a happy one. She no longer feels the need to go on adventures and do silly things. Instead of being loud, she doesn't even talk to people anymore. When she must, her words and tone don't come across as friendly or happy like they used to, although she does not mean them in a cruel or harsh way.

Every once in a while, she meets someone who is able to start breaking down this personality she has built to protect herself, letting a little bit of the old Lynn shine through. Once this happens though, she remembers her father and his kindness and these memories cause her to become even more guarded. So for the most part, she lives in her own unhappy world without anyone else.

Physical Description: Lynn has blonde hair that reaches an inch or two below her shoulder, and blue eyes. She is tall, 5’9” and very thin, weighing only 115 pounds.

Lynn took a glance out the window at the people walking down Diagon Alley. Older children, almost certainly students, were bouncing around, probably excited to start the new year. Younger children walked nervously down the street, looking around in bewilderment at all of the magical items for sale. New first years.

It was back to school season once again. To these children, it was the beginning of another thrilling year. To Lynn...to Lynn, it was nothing. It was just another day that she had to finish. Every day was. All of the days in the world of Lynn were the same. If she hadn't been thinking that way for so long, she might have realized how impossibly depressing her thoughts sounded.

She glanced again out the window, not too eager to help the three shouting that had just walked into the store. She noticed a man with what looked like his child. The man was laughing and so was his son. The father was probably talking about the "good ol' times" when he went to Hogwarts and how much fun his son would have. He would play Quidditch and meet the girl of his dreams and...

Lynn shook her head. She couldn't do that. She had promised herself that she would stop doing that. It was far too painful to repeat every time she saw a father. No, she would stay emotionless. That's how things had to be now.

Likes - at least 15: Not having to talk to others. Arithmancy and anything math related. Busy work days. Any time when she doesn't have time to think about the past. When customers don't expect her to talk to them. Music. Making big sales. Sleeping. Drinking alone. The idea of destroying Voldemort and his followers. Order of the Phoenix. Being alone. Animals. Dislikes - at least 15: Voldemort. Death Eaters. Quidditch because even though she is fantastic at it, it reminds her too much of her father. Talking. Emotions. Potions. Transfiguration. Smiling.
